For the first time we had a runabout junior class, and we think its the first time world wide, Runabout Junior GP4/spark 11-16 year. 7 young riders from Sweden, Norway and Estonia battled in the rough water and in the end Samuel Johansson from Sweden riding for Orust Jetski club took the overall win with 2 heat wins and one second place. Second place total went to Edvin Samuelsson also from Sweden and Orust Jetski club and on third place Mattias Siimann from Estonia.

In ski GP3 that had the biggest starting field in one start with 25 starting the UIM World Champion and IJSBA European Champion in 2016 now added the Nordic Championship win to his CV. Quinten Bossche from Belgium was outstanding with 3 heat wins. Stian Schjetlein from Norway in second and third place a little surprise, Daniel Andersen that showed that he hasn`t forgot how to use a Yamaha.
This class had some other ”guests” such as Lukas Binar, Kacper Kania and Kevin Reiterer. They were racing on borrowed skis from Norway and Sweden (Thanks !) and they did really good considering they usually rides other type of ski`s. Kevin 6th, Lukas 10th and Kacper 14th place.

Another good class was Runabout GP4 with 16 riders on the line. Bart Meurrens and Bart Van Den Bulcke from Belgium had some good racing but not good enough to beat the fast Finnish rider Pasi Vourela that took the overall win.

One class that gave the big crowd of spectators some exitment was Ski Ladies GP3 and the battle between Emma-Nellie Örtendahl and Sofie Borgström. These two were fighting trough all 3 heats, coming out of the splits almost side by side lap after lap. The first heat Sofie won with 1 meter… Second Moto Emma-Nellie won but in the third Sofie was the fastest and took her first Nordic Championship title. Third place went to Jonna borgström that fighted on a very slow borrowed ski from ski last from position up trough the field.tjejerna på pallen

In the highest classes GP1 we had some of the biggest names in the world right now. Kevin Reiterer and Stian Schjetlein that are in the top 4 on the UIM world tour. It was a battle between new hulls.
Kevin won all 3 heats on his new SDC trak 903, Stian second overall on his new Pro-force and on third place Daniel Andersen on his SDC trak/HSR.

Remember who won the runabout junior class ? That was young Samuel Johansson and in the biggest runabout class GP1 Samuel`s father Johan Johansson took another title this year. So it goes in the family. Last weekend Johan won the Swedish Championship in offshore and this weekend he took the Nordic Championship title ! Johan is now doing very good results in both offshore and closed course. Second place went to Denmark new star Marcus Jörgensen and third place to a living legend, Pancho Marjak from Finland.start gp1
